Ingredients

  • 2Psc.Carrot
  • 2CupLentils
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Turmeric powder
  • 1Cupwater
  • 1CupVermicelli

Steps

    We place the oil in the pot, then add the finely chopped onion.

    We sauté the onion lightly, then add the finely chopped carrots with a pinch of salt.

    We stir the mixture well, then add the washed lentils, turmeric, and salt.

    We stir again, then pour in the water and leave the mixture on high heat until it boils.

    We remove the white foam (scum) from the surface of the soup once it boils.

    We leave the soup on medium heat for about 30 minutes.

    We blend the soup with a hand blender until smooth

    We add the vermicelli and stir it into the soup.

    We add the jareesh kibbeh.

  10. 10

    We stir occasionally until the jareesh kibbeh floats to the top and is fully cooked.

    Note: Using jareesh kibbeh is optional.
