Ingredients

  • 1Kilograms (kg)Green Tomatoes
  • 4ClovesGarlic
  • 1Grams (g) Hot chilli
  • 1Psc.lemon
  • 1Cupwater
  • 2CupSugar
  • 2.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Coarse salt
  • 3Tablespoons (tbsp)White Vinegar

Steps

    We wash the green tomatoes well, then cut a cross (X) on the top of each.

    We arrange the tomatoes in sterilized glass jars, adding the garlic cloves, hot chili peppers, and lemon slices as desired.

    In a bowl, we prepare the pickling brine by dissolving the sugar and coarse salt in 1 liter of water, then add the white vinegar and stir until fully dissolved.

    We pour the brine over the tomatoes in the jars until they are completely covered.

    We seal the jars tightly and leave them in a moderate-temperature place for 7–10 days until they develop the desired flavor.

    We serve the pickled tomatoes as a side dish with main meals.
