Heart Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 90Grams (g) Butter
- 0.5CupSugar
- 1Psc.eggs
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
- 1.25CupFlour
- 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
- 1PinchSalt
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Red food coloring

Place the butter in a large bowl.

Add the sugar to the butter and mix well until smooth and creamy.

Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until the wet ingredients are fully combined.

Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt over the mixture.

Mix until a soft dough forms.

Divide the dough into two equal portions and place one aside in a separate bowl.

Add the red food coloring to one portion and mix until the color is evenly distributed.

Wrap both portions in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up.

Roll out the plain (yellow) dough on parchment paper using a rolling pin.

Add small pieces of the red dough on top of the rolled-out yellow dough.

Roll both doughs together again to blend the red color slightly.

Cut out heart shapes using cookie cutters and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 13–14 minutes, until the edges are slightly golden.
