  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Ghee
  • 0.5Grams (g) Butter
  • 1.5PacketYeast
  • 1.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Blossom water
  • 1CupMilk

Steps

  1. 1

We mix the semolina with the ground mahaleb, ground mastic, and sugar in a bowl.

  2. 2

We add the melted ghee and butter to the mixture and stir well until it is well combined. We then leave it for the next day.

  3. 3

We dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk, then gradually add it to the mixture until we obtain a soft dough.

  4. 4

We add the blossom water to the dough and knead it well.

  5. 5

We shape the dough into small balls, then stuff them with our preferred filling (such as dates or nuts).

  6. 6

We press the balls using the special ma'amoul molds or shape them as shown in the video.

  7. 7

We place the ma'amoul in a greased tray and bake it in the oven at 180°C until it turns golden brown. First, we brown the top, then brown the ma'amoul from the bottom.
