    Soak 15 pitted dates in a cup of boiling water until softened.

    Mix 4 eggs at room temperature with a pinch of vanilla, a pinch of salt, and 1 cup of sugar until the mixture becomes creamy.

    Add half a cup of milk and 3/4 cup of vegetable oil, and mix well.

    Add the mashed dates and stir until fully combined.

    Add 2.5 cups of flour with a heaping teaspoon of baking powder, half a teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of cinnamon, half a teaspoon of ground cardamom, and half a cup of ground walnuts

    Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 175-180°C (350-355°F) for 45 minutes, with both top and bottom heat
