Steps

We cut the onions, carrots, and potatoes as shown in the video.

In a pot over heat, we add oil or butter, then add the chopped onions and stir. We add tomato paste and mix well.

We add the carrots and potatoes, stir well, cover the pot, and let it cook until the vegetables soften.

We add the lentils, then add water and stir.

We add salt and black pepper, stir, then cover the pot and let it cook until the lentils are done.

Meanwhile, we cut the toast into small cubes, drizzle it with oil, and place it in the oven until it becomes crispy.

We blend the lentil soup using a hand blender or a food processor.

We prepare the garnish by adding butter and red pepper to a pot over heat, stirring well. Then, we serve the lentil soup as shown in the video and pour the garnish on top of the soup. Enjoy!
