Seafood Rice

Seafood Washing Method Soak the mussels in water and salt for 15 minutes, then scrub them with a brush and rinse thoroughly.

Soak the calamari and shrimp in sparkling water (soda), salt, and lemon juice for 15 minutes, then rinse them well.

In olive oil and garlic, sauté each type of seafood separately until partially cooked.

For the mussels, cover and cook on low heat until they open.

In the same pot, add more olive oil and sauté the onion, garlic, and tomato until soft.

Add the rice with salt and 1 teaspoon of turmeric, stir well, then add the seafood.

Add water according to the amount of rice (we need twice the amount of water for the rice). Dissolve a pinch of saffron in one cup of water, and dissolve the broth cubes in the rest of the water.

Add the saffron water and the remaining broth water over the rice, cover, and cook on low heat until the rice is done.
