    We marinate the chicken in the marinade for one hour, then cover it with aluminum foil and bake it in the oven on high heat for one hour.

    After that, we remove the aluminum foil and return the chicken to the oven until it turns golden brown, about 15 minutes.

    Preparing the onions: We sauté the onions in a little olive oil, and when they soften slightly, we add 1/3 cup of sumac, 1 cup of olive oil, and salt, then cook on medium heat until the onions soften and cook through.

    We spread the bread in the baking dish, then add the onions and sumac, repeating the process with layers of bread, onions, and sumac (about 2 or 3 layers).
