Mini apple pie puffs
Ingredients
- 4Psc.Apple
- 0.5CupBrown sugar
- 0.75CupSugar
- 4Teaspoons (tsp)Cinnamon
- 0.5PinchSalt
- 4Cuporange juice
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Starch
- 2CupCold water
- 1Psc.Puff pastry dough
- 1Psc.eggs
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
Steps

In a bowl, mix brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Melt butter in a pot.

Add diced apples, sugar mixture, and orange juice.

Stir and cook until apples soften slightly.

Mix starch with water, then add to the apples.

Stir well and simmer until the mixture thickens and becomes caramelized.

Cut the puff pastry into small squares. Place squares on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Mix the egg with a pinch of vanilla and brush the pastry.

Place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square.

Cover with another piece of pastry and seal the edges.

Cut small slits on the top of each pie for steam to escape.

Brush the top with more eggwash.

Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 20–25 minutes or until golden.
