- 400Grams (g) Butter
- 12Tablespoons (tbsp)Cream cheese
- 1CupPowdered sugar
- 0.25Teaspoons (tsp)Ground mastic
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Mahleb
- 1Cupwater

Sift 4 cups of flour well, then place it in a stand mixer along with ¼ teaspoon of ground mastic and 1 teaspoon of ground mahlab, and mix the dry ingredients together.

Add 400 g of the softened butter and beat well until it disappears and is fully incorporated into the mixture.

Add 12 pieces of cream cheese and continue mixing until the ingredients are well incorporated.

Once the dough starts to come together, gradually add lukewarm water until reaching the consistency shown in the video.

Cover the dough tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.

After removing it from the fridge, let it soften slightly, then knead it again

Fill the dough with your preferred filling and shape it as shown in the video.

Arrange the maamoul on a baking tray, then place it in a preheated oven at medium temperature until fully baked and golden brown.
