Ingredients

- 0.25CupRaisin
- 1CupSugar
- 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Cinnamon
- 1CupAkkawi cheese
- 1.5Cupwater
- 1Psc.Cinnamon Sticks
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Clove
- 0.5Psc.lemon
- 0.25CupMelted Ghee
- 1PacketBaklava
Steps

Chop the walnuts into small pieces.

Mix the walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.

Grease the baking dish with ghee

Place four layers of phyllo dough in the dish, brushing each layer with ghee.

Spread half of the filling over the phyllo layers.

Add the Acawi cheese that has been soaked overnight

Place three more layers of phyllo dough and brush them with ghee

Add the rest of the filling on top of the gelash layers and then add the Akkawi cheese.

Cut the baklava into squares.

Add 1/4 cup of ghee on top of the goulash

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown.

Prepare the syrup by boiling sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and clove until it thickens. Turn off the heat, add lemon juice, and let it cool completely.

Once out of the oven, while hot, pour the cooled syrup over the baklava
