Ingredients

  • 250Milliliters (mL)Cooking Cream
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Wild thyme
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1PinchCoarse black pepper
  • 1Grams (g) Butter
  • 2CupOlive oil
  • 0.5Grams (g) Parmesan cheese

Steps

    Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package, then drain and set aside.

    Slice the onions and garlic very thinly.

    In a large pan, add the butter cube and the olive oil, and let them heat up.

    Add the sliced onions and garlic to the pan over low heat. Stir gently every 10 minutes or so.

    Let the onions caramelize slowly over low heat without adding any sugar — this process takes at least 30 minutes for this quantity.

    Once the onions are deeply caramelized and golden brown, add the thyme, salt, and pepper, then pour in the cooking cream and bring it to a boil.

    After the cream starts boiling, add the cooked pasta and grated cheese, and stir until everything is well combined.
