Ingredients

- 0.5CupBrown sugar
- 170Milliliters (mL)Melted butter

- 1.5Tablespoons (tbsp)All-purpose flour

- 1PinchSalt
- 1Psc.Yolk
- 1CupChocolate Chips
- 1CupChocolate
- 1CupMelted Chocolate
- 3CupPowdered sugar

We mix half a cup of white sugar with half a cup of brown sugar in a deep bowl.

We add the melted butter to the sugar mixture and stir well until combined.

Add the egg, egg yolks and vanilla and mix the ingredients until you get a smooth creamy texture

We add the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gently fold the mixture until the ingredients are well combined without overmixing.

Add the chocolate chips and chocolate nibs and stir gently until they are distributed throughout the dough

We place the cookie dough in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes until it firms up.

In another bowl, mix the kunafa with 3 tablespoons of butter and powdered sugar until the butter is well saturated.

We press the kunafa mixture firmly into a baking tray to form the base.

We spread half of the chilled cookie dough over the kunafa layer.

We place the chocolate pieces on top of the cookie dough.

We spread the remaining half of the cookie dough over the chocolate to cover it fully.

We preheat the oven to 180°C.

Place the tray in the oven for 10 minutes until cooked and the edges are lightly browned

We top it with melted chocolate and sprinkle chocolate chips as decoration.
