Ingredients

- 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
- 1PinchSalt
- 1.25CupWarm water

Place the flour and cornstarch in a large mixing bowl and lightly mix them together.

Add the oil and rub the mixture with your fingertips until it has a sandy texture.

Add the salt and stir again.

Gradually add the warm water and knead until a cohesive dough forms.

Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead by hand until smooth and soft.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough and roll it out using a rolling pin until very thin.

Cut out circles using a round cutter.

Gather the excess dough, re-roll, and cut again.

Place your desired filling (cheese, ground meat, vegetables...) in the center of each circle.

Fold each piece into a half-moon shape and press the edges with a fork to seal.

Heat deep oil in a pan and fry the sambousek until golden brown.

Remove and place on a strainer or paper towels to drain excess oil.
