  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
  • 1Grams (g) Instant yeast
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Carbonate
  • 0.5CupSugar
  • 0.5CupOlive oil
  • 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Tahini
  • 1PinchBlack Seeds
  • 3PinchSesame

Steps

  1. 1

First, in a large bowl, mix the flour, semolina, salt, vanilla, yeast, baking soda, sugar, and olive oil well. Then, add the tahini and set it aside.

  2. 2

Add the sesame seeds, then gradually add warm water until you have a soft dough. Knead it well. After that, cover the dough and let it rise for half an hour.

  3. 3

After the dough has risen, you can shape it as you prefer, then place it in a baking dish greased with tahini.

  4. 4

Preheat the oven to 200°C and bake the semolina for 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  5. 5

Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by boiling 3 cups of sugar with 2.5 cups of water for 7-8 minutes, then let it cool.

  6. 6

After removing the semolina from the oven, cut it and pour the hot syrup over it.

  7. 7

If tahini is not available, you can prepare it by toasting the black seed and sesame in a pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until golden. Then, grind them with added vegetable oil until you achieve a suitable consistency.
