We place 1 cup of warm water with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of yeast in a bowl, then cover and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast activates.

In another bowl, we place the flour, salt, vegetable oil, yogurt, and powdered milk (optional).

We add the activated yeast mixture and 1.5 cups of warm water to the dry ingredients and knead well for at least 10 minutes until we get a smooth, cohesive dough.

We cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 45 minutes.

After the dough rises, we punch out the air and divide it into equal portions based on desired size.

We shape each piece into a ball, cover them, and let them rest for 10 minutes to prevent drying.

We roll each ball into a circular shape about ½ cm thick using a rolling pin.

We fold the dough once and press it with our fingers, repeating the folding and pressing 3 times.

We close the edges and smooth the final shape.

We arrange the breads on greased or parchment-lined baking trays, cover them, and let them rest for 15 minutes.

We brush the tops with a little milk and bake them in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 15 minutes until golden.

After baking, we brush them lightly with vegetable oil and cover them with a clean cloth for 5 minutes to keep them soft.
