    We place the oil in the pot, then add the small meat pieces or the coarse ground meat.

    We sauté the meat until its color changes.

    We add the chopped onion and stir until it turns golden.

    We add the soaked rice and mix it with the meat and onion.

    We add the roasted chestnuts on top of the rice and meat.

    We add the salt and spices (seven spices and black pepper) and mix well.

    We add the meat broth or plain water.

    We cover the pot and leave it on high heat until the water evaporates.

    After the water has dried, we lower the heat and let the rice steam gently for about 25 minutes.
