Steps

    We wash the green beans thoroughly and cut them into medium-sized pieces as desired.

    We bring a pot of water to a boil.

    Once the water starts boiling, we add 1 teaspoon of salt

    We add the cut green beans to the boiling water and stir for 3 to 4 minutes only, just until they begin to soften slightly without losing their green color.

    We immediately remove the green beans from the hot water and place them in a bowl of ice water or very cold water to stop the cooking process.

    We leave the beans in the cold water for 2 minutes, then drain them well.

    We let them cool completely and dry from any remaining water.

    We pack the green beans into freezer-safe bags and store them in the freezer for winter use.
