We cut the chicken into 8 pieces, keeping the skin on.

We season the chicken with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, turmeric, mixed spices, dried basil, and Italian seasoning.

We brown the chicken pieces in a pan with a little oil for 10–15 minutes until they become golden.

We cut the vegetables into medium pieces and season them with the same spices plus a little vegetable oil.

We arrange the vegetables in a baking tray, then place the browned chicken pieces on top.

We add a small amount of boiling water to the tray.

We cover the tray with parchment paper and then with aluminum foil tightly.

We place the tray into a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We uncover the tray halfway through and add more boiling water if needed.

We remove the foil and broil the chicken and vegetables for 10 minutes to enhance the color.

We sprinkle a little paprika before broiling for extra flavor and color.
