Ingredients

  • 500Kilograms (kg)Chicken Breast
  • 0.25CupOlive oil
  • 1Psc.Lemon zest
  • 1Psc.Lemon juice
  • 1PinchMinced Coriander
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Dried Thymus
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Paprika
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Oregano
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Cumin
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Garlic powder
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1To TasteBlack pepper

Steps

    Mix all the spices – dried thyme, paprika, dried oregano, ground cumin, garlic powder in a small bowl until well combined

    Place the chicken in a large mixing bowl.

    Add olive oil to the chicken and stir well.

    Add lemon zest and lemon juice to the bowl.

    Add a tablespoon of the prepared Souvlaki spice mix to the chicken.

    Add the cilantro, salt, and black pepper, and stir well to distribute the marinade evenly over all the pieces.

    Thread the chicken cubes onto wooden skewers.

    Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil or directly in the air fryer.

    Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 185°C (365°F) for 18 minutes, turning halfway through.

    Remove the skewers once they are golden brown and fully cooked.

    Serve the chicken souvlaki hot with potato wedges, pita bread, and lemon-yogurt sauce.
