Ingredients

  • 200Grams (g) Butter
  • 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
  • 0.5CupBrown sugar
  • 0.75CupSugar
  • 2Psc.eggs
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
  • 2.5CupFlour
  • 0.25Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
  • 0.25PinchSalt
  • 1.5CupChocolate Chips
  • 8To TasteMarshmallow

Steps

    Brown the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and fragrant, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

    Once warm, add the vegetable oil, brown sugar, and white sugar, then whisk well until the sugar begins to dissolve.

    Add the eggs and vanilla, then whisk for 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes lighter in color and creamy.

    Add the dry ingredients—flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt—and gently mix until just combined, without overmixing.

    Add the chocolate and fold gently.

    Spread half of the batter into a suitable pan or skillet, then distribute half of the marshmallows over it.

    Add the remaining batter, then top with the remaining marshmallows, adding extra chocolate if desired.

    Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before baking.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–22 minutes, until puffed in the center and lightly golden, taking care not to overbake so it stays soft inside.
