Ingredients

  • 1CupEgyptian rice
  • 2CupMilk
  • 1CupSugar
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Ground mastic
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Blossom water
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Pistachio

Steps

    We place the washed cup of Egyptian rice in a pot, then add 2 liters of milk and leave it to soak for 30 minutes.

    We put the pot over high heat until the mixture starts to boil.

    Once it boils, we lower the heat, cover the pot, and leave it on low heat for 15 minutes.

    Remove the lid, then add sugar to taste along with ground mastic mixed with a little sugar, and stir.

    We let the mixture simmer over low heat for 25–30 minutes.

    Finally, we add the orange blossom water and stir.

    We pour the rice pudding into serving bowls and let it cool at room temperature, then place it in the fridge until serving time.

    When serving, we garnish with pistachios.
