Steps

    We peel 2 large potatoes and cut them into medium cubes.

    We add the potatoes with 2 garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon salt, then add water to cover the potatoes.

    Simmer on medium heat until tender; test doneness with a fork—when it pierces easily, they are done.

    Return the mashed potatoes to the pot, add 1 cup of cream, and stir until fully blended.
