- 0.5CupChopped almonds
- 0.75Grams (g) Butter
- 1CupBrown sugar
- 1.5CupWhole wheat flour
- 1.5CupOat
- 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
- 0.5PinchSalt
- 1CupMilk

Filling: Place dates and water in a blender and blend until smooth.

Transfer the mixture to a pot and cook over medium heat until thick

Remove from heat, add vanilla, almond extract, and chopped almonds, and stir well.

Allow the filling to cool.

Crumble dough: Beat butter and brown sugar until creamy and smooth.

Add whole wheat flour, oats, baking soda, and salt, and mix well.

Divide the dough into two portions: Add a little milk to the first portion to form a firm dough for the base. Leave the second portion as is for the topping.

Assembly: Line the baking pan with parchment paper.

Press the first portion of dough into the pan to form a firm base.

Spread the prepared filling evenly on top.

Cover the filling with the second portion of dough, pressing lightly.

For a firmer top layer, add a little milk and gently press.

Baking: Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

Bake the crumble for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
