Ingredients

  • 1CupMilk
  • 1Cupwater
  • 1CupSugar
  • 0.5CupOlive oil
  • 0.5PacketYeast
  • 5CupFlour
  • 2PinchSalt
  • 2PinchThyme
  • 2Grams (g) Halloumi cheese

Steps

  1. 1

In a large bowl, we put warm milk, sugar, yeast, and olive oil, and mix.

  2. 2

We add flour, fresh thyme, cheese, and salt, and we knead just until the ingredients are mixed, noting that the amount of salt should depend on the saltiness of the cheese used.

  3. 3

We need to obtain a soft dough that sticks to the hand, cover it, and let it rise at room temperature. During the rising period, we should fold the edges towards the center two to three times (the dough will take about an hour and a half to two hours to rise).

  4. 4

Now we grease the baking tray with olive oil and roll out the dough to a medium thickness, then sprinkle sesame seeds and black cumin on top. We cover it for half an hour before baking. In the meantime, we preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake the loaf for 20 to 25 minutes until it is cooked and takes on a golden color, serving it with tea.

  5. 5

Note: The green thyme should be washed and thoroughly drained of water, and the cheese should be cut into small cubes. Enjoy!
