Ingredients
- 1.75CupFlour
- 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
- 1.25CupSugar
- 0.5CupMilk
- 3Psc.eggs
- 3Tablespoons (tbsp)Unsweetened cocoa
- 1PinchSalt
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla

Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F) with both top and bottom heat and fan on.

Whisk the eggs with the sugar for 3 minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

Gradually add the oil while continuing to mix.

Add the milk and mix until well combined.

Add the flour, pinch of salt, and vanilla, and mix until you get a smooth batter.

Divide the batter into two equal portions. In one portion, add the cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of milk and mix well.

Pour some of the plain (vanilla) batter into a greased cake pan, then add some of the cocoa batter on top. Repeat the layering process alternately until all the batter is used.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes or until done (you can check with a toothpick).
