Steps

    Soak the fava beans with the split fava beans in water for at least 12 hours.

    Chop the tomatoes, carrots, and lemons in your favorite way

    Add the yellow lentils, chopped tomato, grated or chopped carrots, chopped lemon, and turmeric.

    Pour water over the ingredients to keep them fully covered.

    Place the pot over very low heat and cook for 6 to 8 hours.

    Add more boiling water whenever the water level decreases to keep the beans submerged.
