  • 1Psc.Red bell pepper
  • 1Psc.Yellow bell pepper
  • 1Psc.Green pepper
  • 2Grams (g) Canned tomatoes
  • 0.25Cupwater

Steps

    Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat

    Fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.

    Cut all the vegetables into slices as shown in the video

    Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the same pot, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.

    Add the sliced red, yellow, and green bell peppers and stir until slightly tender

    Pour in the canned tomatoes along with ¼ cup of water (or as needed) and let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.

    Return the meatballs to the pot, cover, and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.

    Serve Dawood Basha hot with yellow or white rice or bread.
