Put the water, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a pot

Stir the ingredients on cold until they are well dissolved

Place the saucepan on the heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

Add the nuts to the pot and lower the heat.

Leave the nuts on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Strain the nuts from the syrup.

Spread the nuts over parchment paper on a baking tray.

Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 10 minutes, using both top and bottom heat, until caramelized and shiny
