Ingredients

  • 200Grams (g) Butter
  • 0.5CupPowdered sugar
  • 2Psc.Yolk
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
  • 2CupFlour
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 0.25Tablespoons (tbsp)Unsweetened cocoa

Steps

    Beat the cold butter and powdered sugar using an electric mixer until light and creamy.

    Add egg yolks and vanilla, and mix for 1 minute until just combined.

    Add the sifted flour and salt, and gently mix by hand to form a soft dough.

    (For chocolate version, replace ¼ cup flour with ¼ cup cocoa powder).

    Pipe the dough using a piping bag into desired shapes (e.g., rosettes or lines).

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for around 8 minutes on the middle rack (depending on the oven).

    Let the petit fours cool completely before filling.
