Ingredients

- 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
- 1PinchSalt
Steps

Peel the red onions and cut each one into four equal parts.

Use a food processor with the slicing disc to slice the onions thinly.

Place the onion slices on top of a cotton kitchen towel to absorb excess water

Transfer the onions to a glass bowl and add the vegetable oil.

Place the bowl in the microwave and cook for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, remove the bowl and stir the onions with a fork. Return the bowl to the microwave for 1 more minute.

Repeat stirring and microwaving in 1-minute intervals until the onions turn golden brown and crispy.

Pour the mixture into a colander to drain the excess oil.

Spread the fried onions on a baking tray lined with paper towels to soak up the remaining oil.

Once completely cool, sprinkle the onions with salt.

Store the onions in an airtight container and refrigerate for later use.
