    Soak the wheat from overnight until morning, then change the water and add new water

    Wash the wheat after soaking, put it in a saucepan with clean water and let it boil over low heat for 20 minutes.

    Cover the pot after turning off the heat and let it sit until ready to use.

    In a saucepan on the stove, put the milk, sweetened condensed milk (or sugar), cinnamon sticks, cloves, and vanilla.

    Let the mixture simmer until it comes to a boil and the flavors are well blended.

    Add the cooked wheat with a piece of butter, stir well until the ingredients are homogeneous and set the mixture aside

    In a frying pan, melt the butter, add the chopped kunafa with sugar and stir until it acquires a golden color.

    Add the crushed walnuts and raisins and continue stirring until slightly dark golden in color, then remove from heat.

    Pour the balila into serving bowls and top with the toasted nutty kunafa.
