- 2Grams (g) Butter
- 0.5CupPistachio Butter
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Tahini
- 3CupWarm water
- 2CupFlour
- 0.5CupSemolina
- 2CupMilk powder
- 2CupSugar
- 1PacketYeast
- 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
- 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Mahleb

To prepare the qatayef In a blender, add warm water, flour, semolina, powdered milk, sugar, yeast, baking soda, and baking powder

Optionally, add mahlab, mastic, or vanilla for flavor. Blend well.

Let the batter rest for 20 to 30 minutes to rise.

Heat a griddle or pan well, then reduce the heat and pour the batter one by one to the desired size, making them small for Asafeeri.

Place the cooked Asafeeri on a plate and cover them with a cloth to keep them from drying out. They must be filled on the same day.

To prepare the filling, heat a pan and toast the kunafa until golden.

Add butter to the toasted kunafa and mix well.

Add pistachio butter and tahini, then mix until fully combined.

Fill the Asafeeri with the kunafa and pistachio butter mixture.

Drizzle melted chocolate over the filled Asafeeri and serve immediately. Enjoy!
