- 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Pepper paste
- 0.25CupPomegranate molasses
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Garlic powder
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Onion powder
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Paprika
- 1PinchSalt
- 1To TasteBlack pepper
- 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil

Place the tomatoes, onions, garlic, pepper, parsley, and red pepper paste in a food processor.

Add the spices — garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper — along with the pomegranate molasses.

Blend the ingredients until you get a coarse mixture (not smooth).

Add the mixture to the ground lamb and mix thoroughly until well combined.

Open the flatbread and evenly spread a generous layer of the meat mixture all the way to the edges.

Close the bread and lightly brush both sides with vegetable oil.

Place the Arayes on the middle rack of a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 5–7 minutes, baking from the bottom until cooked through.

Broil (brown) the Arayes from the top after baking until golden and crispy.

Serve hot, optionally with yogurt or garlic yogurt sauce.
