Ingredients

  • 1.5Kilograms (kg)Chicken
  • 0.5CupOlive oil
  • 6Psc.Red onion
  • 0.25CupPomegranate molasses
  • 0.25Tablespoons (tbsp)Sumac
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Chicken spices
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1To TasteBlack pepper
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Cinnamon
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Mixed spices
  • 1CupRoasted pine nuts
  • 1CupMinced parsley
  • 4Psc.Yellow Onions

Steps

    In a baking pan, add ½ cup of olive oil.

    Add 6 red onions and 4 yellow onions, sliced.

    Add the spices: ¼ cup pomegranate molasses, ¼ cup sumac, 2 tablespoons of chicken seasoning, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper, ½ tablespoon cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons mixed spice.

    Add the chicken pieces and mix well with the onions and spices.

    We add the pomegranate molasses to the chicken, then cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake it in a preheated oven at 200°C for about an hour.

    Uncover and let it brown from the top.

    Garnish with pine nuts and chopped parsley.
