We mix the oil with sugar, then add the milk, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla

Whisk until well combined — without adding the vinegar at this stage.

In a separate bowl, we sift the flour with baking powder and a pinch of salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until smooth.

We add the vinegar to the batter and mix it in thoroughly

We slice the bananas in half lengthwise, then cut each half into thin long slices

We line the bottom of a baking pan with parchment paper and grease the sides with butter.

We neatly arrange the banana slices at the bottom of the pan, then drizzle caramel over them and sprinkle with pecans.

We pour the cake batter over the banana, caramel, and pecans, then tap the pan twice on the counter to release any air bubbles.

We bake the cake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 35 minutes or until fully baked.

Once out of the oven, we let the cake cool slightly, then flip it and serve.
