- 1
We mix 3 eggs with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1/3 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of oil, then mix them well.

Then, we add a can of cream to the mixture and mix it well.
- 3
We add 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1 cup of semolina, and mix the ingredients until well combined.
- 4
We pour half of the mixture into a greased 20 cm cheesecake pan.
- 5
We place the pan in the oven and bake it from the bottom at 180°C until the basbousa is partially cooked
- 6
In a cold bowl, we mix 2 cups of liquid milk, 1/3 cup of sugar, mastic, and 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water (which was missed in the recipe).
- 7
We add 1/3 cup of powdered milk and 4 tablespoons of cornstarch to the mixture

We place the mixture on the stove, stirring constantly, until it thickens.

After the basbousa has partially cooked, we take it out of the oven.

We pour the cream over the basbousa.

We take the remaining half of the basbousa mixture, add 2 tablespoons of milk, and pour it over the cream.
- 12
We return the pan to the oven and bake it at 160°C or 170°C from the top only until it cooks fully and turns golden brown.
- 13
After removing the basbousa from the oven, we pour cold or warm syrup over it
- 14
We garnish it with pistachios and leave it for an hour before serving.
