Ingredients

  • 1Kilograms (kg)Knafeh
  • 1CupFine Sugar
  • 1.5CupMelted Ghee

Steps

    Prepare the kunafa a day in advance and place it in the freezer until frozen.

    Remove the kunafa from the freezer and break it up well until fully shredded.

    Spread the kunafa evenly in a baking tray or wide sheet pan.

    Add 1 cup of fine sugar over the kunafa.

  5. 5

    Mix the sugar evenly with the kunafa until combined.

    Add 1½ cups of ghee over the kunafa.

    Mix well until all the kunafa is coated with ghee.

    Place the tray in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F).

    Position the tray on the middle rack of the oven.

  10. 10

    Every 10–15 minutes, remove the kunafa and stir it until it turns a beautiful golden color and becomes crispy.
