    We toast the sesame on a baking tray at 160 °C (320 °F) for 30 minutes.

    We grease a sheet of baking paper with butter and line a tray.

    We combine water, corn syrup (or honey), and sugar in a pot over low heat until it starts to boil.

    We add a few drops of lemon juice and continue boiling the syrup until it reaches 150 °C (302 °F).

    We remove from heat, stir in the toasted sesame quickly so the syrup coats every seed.

    We pour the mixture onto the greased paper and gently roll it thin with a rolling pin or silicone mat.

    We cut the slab into rectangular bars with a sharp knife.

    We let the bars cool completely before serving.
