Ingredients

  • 2CupOil
  • 0.5Kilograms (kg)Meat
  • 1Psc.Chopped Onion
  • 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Tomato paste
  • 2Liters (L)Tomato juice
  • 0.5CupCooked chickpeas
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Dried mint
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1To TasteBlack pepper
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Paprika
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Turmeric powder
  • 1CupSugar
  • 1Psc.Beef Stock
  • 0.25PinchMinced Coriander
  • 0.25CupMinced parsley
  • 0.25CupToasted Orzo

Steps

    Heat the ghee and oil in a pot over medium heat

    Add the meat cubes and sauté until browned on all sides.

    Add the chopped onion and spices (salt, black pepper, paprika, turmeric) and stir well with the meat.

    Add a small amount of the chopped parsley and coriander, and mix everything together.

    Let the mixture cook on low heat until the onion releases its water and the meat starts to absorb it.

    Add one green chili pepper (optional) and stir.

    Add the tomato paste and stir for about one minute with the meat.

    Pour in the tomato juice, add another pinch of sugar, and a stock cube, then bring it to a boil.

    Lower the heat and allow it to simmer on medium heat until the meat is fully cooked.

    Add the cooked chickpeas and the toasted orzo pasta, stirring everything together.

    Once the orzo is fully cooked, add the remaining parsley and coriander.

    Add the dried mint and give it a final stir.

    Remove from heat and serve hot with bread or rice on the side.
