  • 1Kilograms (kg)Mutton
  • 2Psc.Chopped Onion
  • 3ClovesMinced garlic
  • 2Psc.Dried lime
  • 1Psc.Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1Grams (g) Hot chilli
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Cumin
  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Ground Coriander
  • 0.5To TasteBlack pepper
  • 1PinchSalt

Steps

    Brown the meat in a pot of oil until it releases its juices

    Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.

    Add the garlic, dried black lime, cinnamon stick, chili pepper, cumin, coriander, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.

    Add the tomato paste and mix it in, then pour in the tomato juice and water.

    Cover and cook in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes or in a regular pot for 1.5 hours until the meat is tender.

    Once the meat is cooked, add the ready-made gabout. Cook for 10 minutes in a pressure cooker or 25 minutes on medium heat in a regular pot.

    After cooking, serve the qabot hot.
