Chocolate Banana Bread

We mash the ripe bananas well, then mix them with melted butter, oil, and both types of sugar until the mixture is smooth.

We add the eggs and vanilla, then mix again until fully combined.

We add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt

Stir gently until the flour disappears—without overmixing.

We fold in the melted chocolate or Nutella and chocolate chips.

We pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper.

Place the mold in an oven preheated to 160 degrees Celsius and bake for 50 minutes to an hour and a quarter until cooked.

We test the doneness with a wooden stick; if it comes out clean, it’s ready.

We let the banana bread cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes: We must use well-ripened bananas. If not available, we place the bananas with their peels in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes, then let them cool completely before using.
