- 1Grams (g) Mixed vegetables

Heat the oil or ghee in a deep saucepan, then add the correct spices (cinnamon, mustard, cardamom, anise, cloves, cumin, and curry) and stir until fragrant.

Cut the onion into wedges

Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger, stir-fry until the onion is golden, then set aside a portion for garnish.

Add the healthy chicken tikka, then add the turmeric, curry, salt, tomato paste, and stir well until combined.

Add the yogurt and water, and let the mixture cook over medium heat for 10 minutes until it thickens

In another pot, boil water with salt and the correct spices, add the basmati rice and vegetables, and boil for 8 minutes before draining well.

In the cooking pot, layer the biryani with a layer of rice, followed by a layer of chicken mixture, and repeat until you run out.

Sprinkle the fried onions on top, then cover the pot tightly.

Simmer the biryani on low heat for 30 minutes until cooked through.

Once cooked, gently flip the biryani to distribute the flavors without breaking the rice.

Serve hot with a yogurt sauce or green salad.

Notes: If using brown rice, be sure to soak it for two hours and use more water and three minutes longer cooking time for the perfect texture.
