  • 2CupFine semolina
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
  • 2CupSugar
  • 1.25Cupwater
  • 1Psc.Lemon juice
  • 1PinchSaffron

Steps

    Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water; let it activate for 10 minutes.

    In a large bowl, add flour, semolina, and vegetable oil.

    Gradually add the yeast mixture to the flour and mix.

    Add more water gradually until a soft dough forms.

    Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes until soft and elastic.

    Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour.

    For syrup: boil sugar and water, then add lemon juice and saffron.

    After rising, deflate the dough.

    Form small balls using an oiled spoon or hands.

    Fry in hot oil until light golden, then remove and cool.
