In a bowl, mix the yeast with the sugar and 1 cup of warm water. Stir well and leave aside to activate.

In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Then add the oil and yogurt.

Once the yeast mixture has activated, add it to the flour mixture, then gradually add 1¼ cups of warm water.

Stir the mixture first with a spoon until it starts coming together.

Knead the dough by hand until it becomes soft and smooth.

If the dough still sticks during the final kneading stage, add only 2 tablespoons of flour—no more, to avoid making the dough too tough.

The dough should be soft, smooth, elastic, and non-sticky.

Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for at least 1 hour until it rises.

After rising, gently deflate the dough.

Shape the dough into balls of your preferred size.

Let the dough balls rest again for 15 minutes.

Roll out each ball using either oil or flour as needed.
