- 1Liters (L)Hot water

Sauté the orzo pasta in a pan without oil until golden brown.

Cut the meat into small cubes

Cut the onions and peppers into small cubes

We put ghee in a skillet on the fire

Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft, then add the minced garlic.

Add the cubed meat and stir until it changes color on all sides.

Add tomato paste, salt, and black pepper, and stir everything together

Add the colored bell peppers (and the spicy pepper if desired), and stir.

Pour in hot water to cover the meat and let it cook until tender.

In a suitable baking dish, place the sautéed orzo pasta at the bottom.

Add the cooked meat with its sauce over the orzo pasta

Pour boiling water over the mixture, ensuring it’s covered by about two fingers' height

Cover the casserole with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 20 minutes.

Tip: Alternatively, you can cook it on the stovetop by bringing it to a boil, then covering and simmering on low heat for 10 minutes.
