Ingredients

- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Anise powder
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
- 1PacketYeast
- 0.5CupOlive oil
- 0.5CupCorn oil
- 1PinchSalt
- 0.25CupSugar
- 2CupFlour
- 2CupCoarse semolina
- 0.25PinchFenugreek

Mix the flour, semolina, fenugreek, ground anise, sugar, salt, and oil.

Rub with fingers until the mixture is well incorporated.

Add yeast, baking powder, sesame seeds, and black seeds, and mix.

Gradually add the water while kneading until the dough becomes very soft.

Spread the dough onto a pan greased with tahini sauce and let rest for 20-30 minutes.

Slice into the desired shape and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F for 20 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.

Broil the top briefly, then pour the sugar syrup over the hot pie. Let it absorb the syrup and cool down for 10 minutes before serving.

1. Mix the sugar and water and bring to a boil. 2. Add the lemon juice once it boils, and continue boiling for another 5 minutes. 3. Set aside to cool down.
