    Remove the stems from the tomatoes and cut them in halves.

    Place the cut tomatoes in a pot over low heat without adding water.

    When the skin separates from the tomatoes, blend them using a hand blender or in a blender.

    Strain the blended tomatoes to remove the skins.

    Return the strained tomatoes to the pot and add 2 teaspoons of salt.

    Cook the sauce over low heat with continuous stirring for 60–75 minutes.

    In a pan, caramelize 2 tablespoons of sugar.

    Add the caramelized sugar to the tomato sauce and mix well.
