Ingredients

  • 2CupFlour
  • 2CupFine semolina
  • 2CupSugar
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
  • 0.25Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
  • 0.5CupMilk powder
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
  • 1CupYogurt
  • 1.5CupِAnise water
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Turmeric powder

Steps

    Mix the dry ingredients together.

    Add one cup of vegetable oil and mix well.

    Rub the dough with your hands until the flour grains are coated with oil.

    Add one cup of yogurt and one teaspoon of turmeric.

    Add one and a half cups of anise water (prepared beforehand).

    Mix the ingredients well until a smooth batter is achieved.

    Grease the baking tray with flour to prevent sticking

    Pour the batter into the tray and garnish with nuts on top.

    Place the tray in a preheated oven at 170°C for 40–45 minutes.

    Let the dessert cool slightly for 10 minutes after removing it from the oven

    Brush it with a little syrup and serve it with tea.
