    Wash the rice and boil it with 2 cups of water until half cooked.

    Heat an empty pot, add milk and bring it to a boil.

    Add the semi-cooked rice along with its water to the milk.

    Stir every 10 minutes until the rice is fully cooked and mixture thickens.

    Add sugar, vanilla, and optionally mastic or orange blossom water.

    Pour into serving cups and let cool slightly.

    Refrigerate until fully chilled and set.
